Islamabad United Dominate in High-Stakes PSL 11 Clash

In the 12th match of PSL 11, held on April 4, 2026, Islamabad United extended their winning streak by overcoming the Rawalpindi Pindiz at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Islamabad won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that paid off as their disciplined bowling attack kept the Pindiz under pressure from the start. While Rawalpindi struggled to find their rhythm early on, Kamran Ghulam anchored the innings with a solid half-century, and a late-order blitz by Dian Forrester—who contributed a rapid 44—helped push their total to a competitive 174 runs.

The chase was largely defined by the sensational form of young opener Sameer Minhas, who proved that his previous performances were no fluke. Minhas dismantled the Rawalpindi bowling attack with a clinical 70 runs off just 36 deliveries, hitting the gaps with precision and clearing the boundary with ease. Although the Pindiz found a breakthrough when Jalat Khan finally dismissed the teenager in the 10th over, the damage had already been done, leaving Islamabad well ahead of the required run rate.

To ensure there was no late-game drama, Mark Chapman and captain Shadab Khan took over the reins to finish the job. Chapman played with aggressive intent, scoring a quick-fire cameo that neutralized the Rawalpindi spinners and brought the target within reach. Islamabad United eventually cruised to victory with several balls to spare, cementing their position near the top of the table while leaving the Rawalpindi Pindiz to reflect on their winless start to the season.
