Defence Minister Khwaja Asif Warns of Suspected Indian False Flag Plot
SIALKOT: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif cautioned on Saturday that India might be orchestrating a new false flag provocation.
Addressing reporters in Sialkot, Asif remarked that it would be ill-advised to weigh in on the current U.S.-Iran tensions, given that Pakistan is actively serves as a mediator in ongoing talks.
He noted that Pakistan is dedicated to its vital role in enabling communication and voiced his desire for regional stability. “Our hope is for the restoration of peace and the resolution of disputes between fraternal nations. It is vital that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives for harmony bear fruit,” he stated.
The defence minister, nonetheless, alerted that India seems to be operating in a “false flag mindset.” “New Delhi might try to manufacture events, potentially using casualties to build a fraudulent narrative of terrorism,” he said, suggesting these tactics could involve their own nationals or incarcerated Pakistanis.
Recalling the Pakistan-India conflict of 2025, Asif observed that India’s maneuvers from a year ago faced significant backlash both at home and abroad. He emphasized that while India possesses superior economic and military resources, Pakistan has proven its ability to react decisively. He further cautioned that any upcoming hostility would be countered with a formidable retaliation.
Previously, Khawaja Muhammad Asif mentioned that persistent aggressive talk indicates strategic insecurity rather than power, especially as the anniversary of the fabricated Pahlgam incident nears—an event that collapsed under global examination and revealed New Delhi's habit of creating artificial emergencies.
“This type of intimidation is a known tactic—a recurring strategy to deflect from domestic vulnerabilities and incite tension through baseless claims for political gain,” he posted on his X account.
He concluded by stating that history serves as a clear warning that errors in judgment carry heavy prices. The memory of Marka-e-Haq remains vivid. In the event of a next time, our counter-action will be even more powerful and final.
