Pakistan Army Vows to Defend Saudi Arabia at Any Cost

Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, with military spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stating that the country is prepared to take necessary measures to safeguard the kingdom.

Speaking in an interview with CNN, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Pakistani forces had been stationed in Saudi Arabia for decades and possessed experience in various areas of military operations. He also said the defence partnership involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye was focused on protecting the kingdom and the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

The remarks come amid growing security concerns in Saudi Arabia linked to attacks claimed by Yemen’s Houthi movement. Pakistan has also expanded defence cooperation with the kingdom through agreements aimed at strengthening mutual security.

Chaudhry described the Makkah Defence Alliance as defensive in purpose, saying it was intended to support regional peace and stability. The three countries are working to translate their commitments into practical military cooperation.
