MBBS, BDS Fees in Punjab Public Colleges Increase by 233%

New students enrolling in Punjab’s public-sector medical and dental colleges will pay an annual fee of Rs50,000 for MBBS and BDS programmes this year. The revised fee represents an increase of Rs35,000 from the previous annual charge of Rs15,000, marking a rise of more than 233%.

The new fee structure will apply to incoming students admitted to public-sector medical and dental institutions across Punjab. Applicants planning to pursue medical or dental education in the province will therefore need to account for the higher annual fee when preparing for admission.

However, students already enrolled in MBBS and BDS programmes will continue to pay the previous annual fee of Rs15,000. The revised charges will apply exclusively to new admissions, leaving the existing fee arrangements unchanged for current students.

The increase marks a significant change in the annual cost of public-sector medical and dental education in Punjab. While newly admitted students will face higher fees, those already studying at these institutions will retain their previous annual payment structure.
