Rangchu Wins Tekken 8 Takedown 2026 After Defeating Pakistan’s Farzeen

 

The Tekken 8 Takedown 2026 tournament has concluded in Lahore with South Korean star Rangchu claiming the championship after an impressive run against some of Pakistan’s strongest players. The event was held from September 4 to 6 at Packages Mall, Lahore, as a Tekken World Tour 2026 Challenger event.

Rangchu delivered a dominant performance throughout the tournament, eventually reaching the Grand Final against Pakistan’s Farzeen. In the championship match, Rangchu won 3–0, using Fahkumram to overcome Farzeen’s Victor and Lidia and secure the Takedown 2026 trophy.

The victory was particularly impressive because Rangchu faced several leading Pakistani players on his way to the title, including Shehram, Qasim Meer, Arslan Ash and Farzeen, whom he defeated twice during the tournament. According to tournament coverage, he did not drop a single set across the entire weekend.

Despite falling short in the Grand Final, Farzeen produced an outstanding run, becoming the Pakistani representative in the final and giving the home crowd a major reason to celebrate. The tournament once again highlighted the depth of Pakistan’s Tekken scene, with several local players making deep runs against international competition.

The event also featured major international names, including Arslan Ash, Ulsan and other top-level competitors, creating a highly competitive field. The tournament attracted hundreds of players, with registration reportedly reaching more than 640 competitors.

Rangchu’s victory marks a memorable moment in Takedown history, as the Korean champion became the first international winner of the 2026 edition. His performance in Lahore demonstrated the level of competition at the event while further strengthening Takedown’s reputation as one of the major fighting-game tournaments in the region.

With the 2026 edition now complete, Rangchu leaves Lahore as the Tekken 8 Takedown champion, while Pakistan’s players can take valuable experience from competing against some of the world’s best. The tournament also showcased the growing strength and popularity of Pakistan’s competitive Tekken community.
