NADRA Introduces New Appointment Booking Service
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new appointment booking facility through the Pak ID mobile app, allowing citizens to schedule visits to NADRA offices without having to wait in long queues.
Under the new system, citizens can book an appointment from home, select an available time slot and visit the relevant NADRA office at the scheduled time. The facility is intended to make the registration and identity-related process more convenient and efficient.
NADRA has also launched an updated version of the Pak ID mobile app featuring several new services. These include online complaint submission to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), digital identity services, family record correction and signature upload facilities.
NADRA spokesperson Shabahat Ali said in a video message that the updated application brings multiple useful features together in one platform. Citizens can also access digital identity documents and make corrections to their family records through the app.
The Pak ID app further allows users to track the status of their national identity card applications from home. Applicants can log in, select the tracking option and enter the tracking ID and PIN provided on their receipt to check the latest status.
Citizens can also track their applications by sending the tracking ID to 8400 via SMS or by calling the NADRA helpline at 1777.
NADRA has additionally reminded citizens to collect their identity cards within the specified period after issuance. According to the authority’s policy, an identity card that remains uncollected for three months after the final delivery date is destroyed.
In such cases, applicants are required to submit a new application and pay the applicable fee again to obtain another identity card.
The latest updates are aimed at expanding digital services, reducing unnecessary visits to NADRA offices and making identity-related services more accessible to citizens.
