CM Punjab Directs Removal of Illegal Ramps Outside Houses

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to remove illegally constructed ramps outside houses if they obstruct roads, streets or public walkways.

The directive was issued during a meeting reviewing development projects in the Sargodha and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions. Officials briefed the chief minister on the progress of infrastructure schemes across various districts.

Maryam Nawaz stressed that private constructions must not create inconvenience for the public or restrict access to roads and shared spaces. Authorities were instructed to take action against structures that interfere with public movement.

The chief minister also ordered the use of recycled plastic covers for roadside drains, aiming to improve drainage infrastructure while promoting the use of recyclable materials.

During the meeting, officials provided updates on projects involving road construction, sewerage systems, drainage networks and traffic management. The chief minister called for practical planning and effective solutions to address infrastructure challenges in Punjab’s cities and districts.

She further emphasized timely completion and proper implementation of development projects so that residents can benefit from improved public facilities and infrastructure.

The directives are aimed at keeping public routes accessible, improving drainage systems and creating safer and better-managed urban spaces across Punjab.
