Former PM Nawaz Sharif Travels to Singapore for Medical Treatment
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif departed Pakistan on Monday for a four-day visit to Singapore and China. According to reports published on August 31, he left Lahore aboard a special aircraft for the private trip.
Sharif is travelling with his sons, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, along with PML-N leader Chaudhry Raheel Munir and his personal physician, Dr Adnan. Reports describe the journey as a private visit, with Sharif expected to spend a short period in Singapore before continuing to China.
The trip has also been linked in reports to possible medical care, although no specific details about any planned treatment or medical procedure in Singapore have been confirmed. Sharif has previously travelled abroad for medical treatment, including an extended stay in London.
Before his departure, Nawaz Sharif met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the airport. The prime minister reportedly sought his elder brother’s guidance regarding his upcoming visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The latest journey comes as Sharif continues to remain an influential figure within the PML-N. Further details about his schedule and activities in Singapore and China are expected to emerge during the four-day visit.
