MG Pakistan Announces Official Release Date for All-New ZS Hybrid

MG Motor Pakistan has put an end to rumors regarding its upcoming teaser campaign by officially scheduling the domestic debut of the all-new MG ZS Hybrid for July 29, 2026.

The automaker had previously circulated promotional clips of an unnamed crossover without specifying a timeline. Automotive analysts had largely inferred that the teased model was the latest-generation ZS based on visible design cues.

By formalizing the launch date for July 29, MG expands its growing portfolio of electrified crossovers in the Pakistani market.

Next-Generation Upgrades

This upcoming release introduces the second-generation MG ZS, which underwent a comprehensive redesign for its global reveal.

The update features a modernized exterior profile, an overhaul of the interior layout, and an updated hybrid powertrain system over the outgoing model.

On the international stage, the MG ZS Hybrid+ utilizes a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine linked to an electric motor in a self-charging arrangement.

In markets like Australia, the system integrates a 1.83 kWh battery pack with a 100 kW electric generator, delivering a combined output of 158 kW through a three-speed hybrid transmission.

Whether the Pakistani market variant will mirror these exact performance specifications remains unconfirmed by local representatives.

Cabin & Feature Highlights

Global variants of the ZS Hybrid+ come equipped with a 12.3-inch primary display screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, the MG Pilot active safety suite, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera system depending on trim level.

Top-tier editions abroad also feature amenities like a panoramic glass roof and an electric tailgate.

The redesigned platform offers increased dimensions compared to its predecessor, providing a 443-liter rear cargo space that expands to 1,457 liters when the second-row seats are stowed.

Local Pricing & Availability

MG Motor Pakistan has not yet disclosed pricing structure, trim variants, technical sheets, or advance booking details.

These details will be officially revealed alongside the complete product launch on July 29.

The incoming ZS Hybrid enters a rapidly expanding market for hybrid crossovers in Pakistan as local buyers seek alternative fuel options.

Final pricing strategies will ultimately dictate how effectively the new offering competes against existing hybrid alternatives in the segment.
