Student Facilitation: Punjab Approves MDCAT Centers for Three Additional Districts

The Punjab administration has resolved to incorporate three additional districts into the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) framework this session, 2026, to render the assessment more approachable for candidates.

Mianwali, Layyah, and Bahawalnagar are set to accommodate MDCAT testing facilities for the opening time. The shift is anticipated to aid applicants from faraway territories by minimizing commuting duration and corresponding overheads.

Administrative heads have instructed the University of Health Sciences (UHS) to execute the essential measures to set up the three incoming hubs prior to the testing date.

Following the current broadening, the MDCAT will henceforth be administered across 15 municipalities throughout Punjab, up from 12 jurisdictions during the prior year. The aggregate tally of testing venues will likewise scale up from 26 to 32 facilities.

Management figures indicated that the extra venues are geared toward rendering the enrollment procedure more straightforward for learners who previously endured long-distance commutes to participate in the highly contested evaluation.

The MDCAT for the ongoing academic term is slated to take place on August 16. Thousands of hopeful medical and dental aspirants are projected to sit for the examination, which serves as a vital prerequisite for entry into medical and dental institutions across the territory.
