Upcoming Launch: Chery to Introduce Three More Economical Car Variants in Pakistan
Chery Master Pakistan is considering the introduction of two to three upcoming models for the domestic market, featuring the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV, and Tiggo V—vehicles that highlight Chery’s commitment to hybrid, electric, and versatile transportation.
Chery Master Pakistan, launched through Master Auto Engineering—a division of the Master Group with a 60-year industrial and automotive heritage—has hinted at the debut of several new vehicles following its prominent presence at Auto China 2026. During the event, the firm collaborated with international executives and examined Chery’s future product and innovation strategy.
This initiative is backed by Chery’s international roadmap to launch 13 fresh models within the next two years, encompassing gasoline, hybrid, and electric engines across SUV, sedan, city car, and pickup categories.
For the Pakistani market, these segments are becoming vital as drivers prioritize fuel economy, utility, and advanced features in response to increasing fuel prices and evolving travel requirements.
Discussing the organization’s path forward, Samir Malik, CEO of Chery Master Pakistan, noted, “Pakistan is a key growth region for Chery’s sophisticated mobility tech,” mentioning that the firm is dedicated to vetting vehicles that suit local road conditions, buyer needs, and future transport trends.
At Auto China 2026, Chery displayed the QQ BEV, a small electric car boasting a range of nearly 410 kilometers. The vehicle is designed as a budget-friendly city transport option, making it ideal for busy hubs like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, where affordability, agility, and size are crucial for urban travelers.
The Tiggo V concept, by contrast, serves as a flexible platform merging the cabin room of an SUV, the utility of an MPV, and the ruggedness of a pickup. Its multi-use design fits well with Pakistan's demand for family-friendly cars that also cater to professional and lifestyle tasks.
The Tiggo 4 HEV aims to broaden Chery's hybrid offerings in a more reachable price bracket, potentially creating fresh demand in Pakistan’s small SUV sector. With hybrid engines gaining popularity due to fuel savings and the current scarcity of EV charging stations, such models could significantly boost local New Energy Vehicle (NEV) usage.
Chery currently maintains a presence in over 130 nations with 19 million global owners; notably, one out of every four cars shipped from China is a Chery, highlighting its dominant role in international exports.
In Pakistan, Chery Master Pakistan has built the most extensive lineup of locally assembled (CKD) plug-in hybrid SUVs. This range includes the Tiggo 9 PHEV, marketed as the first luxury plug-in hybrid E-SUV, the new Tiggo 8 PHEV as the nation's sole 7-seater plug-in hybrid D-SUV, and the recently debuted Tiggo 7 PHEV as a high-end 5-seater C-segment SUV. Combined, this collection covers major SUV classes and demonstrates a clear plan to bring sophisticated hybrid tech to a wider audience.
