Sustainable Power! CM Punjab Debuts Electric Streetcar in Changa Manga
A sustainable travel project has launched in Changa Manga, where the Punjab Wildlife Department has debuted a high-tech electric tram aimed at improving the guest journey while championing green practices.
The recently added vehicle, sourced from China, runs entirely on battery power and has the capacity to seat 200 riders. It provides a seamless, silent, and climate-controlled trip, enabling travelers to easily tour the woods and wildlife zones without the typical sound and pollution linked to traditional vehicles.
Per government sources, the scheme focuses on cutting greenhouse gases and lowering acoustic disturbance in the wilderness, ensuring the region's environmental stability remains intact. Simultaneously, it intends to make sightseeing more effortless and pleasant for households, pupils, and outdoor lovers frequenting the park. The move follows the success of comparable systems at the Lahore Safari Zoo, where battery-operated transit has boosted ease of access and guest approval.
The tram system is slated to begin service in the near future, representing a major move toward encouraging ecologically conscious and green tourism in Punjab. Officials anticipate that these efforts will not only increase Changa Manga's charm as a vacation spot but also establish a blueprint for upcoming sustainable ventures throughout the province.
