NADRA Enables Online Updates to CNIC Photos and Addresses
Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has made it easier for citizens to update their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) photographs and permanent addresses through the Pak ID mobile application.
The digital facility enables eligible applicants to submit requests from home, reducing the need to visit NADRA registration centres for these services.
To apply, users must log in to the Pak ID application and select the “Identity Card” option. They can then choose either “Myself” or “My Blood Relatives,” depending on whose identity record needs to be updated.
Applicants are required to enter the relevant information, follow the instructions provided in the app, and submit their applications for processing.
In addition to CNIC updates, the Pak ID application provides several other digital identity services. These include digital identity cards for spouses and eligible children, as well as QR-code verification for certain documents. These features aim to improve access to identity-related services and make document verification more convenient.
The application also supports biometric verification for vaccination requirements related to Hajj and Umrah. Eligible pilgrims may use this digital facility to complete the relevant verification procedures, subject to applicable requirements.
The expanded digital services reflect NADRA’s efforts to make identity-related processes more accessible and efficient. Citizens can use the Pak ID application to review available services and check the specific requirements before submitting their requests.
