Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye Combine Over 1.4 Million Active Troops and 3,415 Military Aircraft

 

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye possess significant combined military capabilities, with approximately 1.4 million active personnel, 3,415 military aircraft, 6,046 tanks, and 344 naval assets, based on figures attributed to the Global Firepower Index.

The combined military resources demonstrate the substantial defence capacity of the three countries as their strategic and defence cooperation continues to develop. Each nation brings different strengths and capabilities to the partnership.

Pakistan accounts for around 660,000 active military personnel and also maintains nuclear capabilities. Türkiye contributes advanced expertise in areas such as drones, missile systems, sensors, and electronic warfare, while Saudi Arabia provides substantial financial investment and resources to support its defence sector.

The different strengths of the three nations create a broad defence partnership covering military personnel, advanced technology, equipment, and investment. Their cooperation could provide opportunities for greater coordination and the exchange of defence expertise.

Saudi Arabia’s annual defence expenditure is estimated at approximately $63.9 billion, while the combined defence spending of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye is estimated at around $124.4 billion.

These figures illustrate the significant resources available to the three countries and their growing strategic importance. However, each nation retains its own military structure, capabilities, and defence priorities, with cooperation providing an additional framework for coordination and partnership.
