GC University Lahore Announces 100% Free Education for Eligible Students
Government College University (GCU) Lahore, in partnership with the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF), has announced a fully funded education opportunity for eligible industrial workers and their children.
Under the initiative, 50 seats have been reserved in selected Intermediate and BS (Hons) programmes at GCU Lahore’s Main Campus and KSK Campus.
Of the total seats, 20 are allocated for Intermediate programmes, including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS/General Science, I.Com, and Arts/Humanities. Five seats will be offered at the Main Campus, while 15 will be available at the KSK Campus.
The university has also reserved 30 seats for selected BS programmes. At the Main Campus, available fields include BS Botany, BS Gender & Climate Change, BS Persian, BS Philosophy, BS Punjabi, and BS Turkish Language & Literature.
At the KSK Campus, reserved seats are available in programmes such as BS Art History, BS Disaster Management, BS Geography, BS Global Studies, B.Ed. (4-Year), BS History, BS Islamic Studies, BS Physical Education, and BS Remote Sensing & GIS.
The scheme is open to eligible industrial workers and their children who fulfill the requirements set by the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund. Applicants must also satisfy GCU Lahore’s admission criteria and meet the required merit standards for their chosen programme.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can obtain the Nomination-cum-Admission Form from the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund website. Applicants are required to complete the form and submit it along with the necessary educational, identity, and worker-related documents.
The initiative provides eligible students with an opportunity to pursue higher education at GCU Lahore without tuition fees, helping reduce the financial burden on workers and their families.
