Government Backing: Punjab Enhances Financial Support and Scholarships Through Sports Endowment Fund

The provincial administration of Punjab has authorized a raise in Sports Endowment Fund stipends commencing this July and will grant educational allowances to 243 additional competitors to back gifted performers across the territory.

Secretary for Youth Affairs and Sports in Punjab, Fazlur Rehman, disclosed the resolution while presiding over a conference held at Punjab Stadium.

Director General of Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi, Admin Director Abid Shaukat, Sports Director Chand Perveen, Youth Affairs Director M Fahad, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, along with high-ranking personnel from the Sports, Finance, and Pension Fund divisions participated in the session.

Addressing the gathering, the Secretary of Sports Punjab stated that the initiative aims to empower local talent and remove financial barriers impeding athletic excellence.

According to the updated distribution model, competitors placed within the Platinum tier will obtain Rs. 100,000 monthly, whereas individuals categorized under the Gold tier will be granted Rs. 75,000 monthly.

Competitors designated within the Silver tier will obtain Rs. 50,000 monthly, and individuals designated within the Emerging tier will receive Rs. 30,000 monthly.

Fazlur Rehman further mentioned that stipend-earning competitors will be provided with custom bank cards to enable them to collect their allocations without difficulty.
