Digital Shift: Punjab Administration Set to Shift All District Departments to Paperless Operations
The Punjab administration has resolved to transition all public bureaus throughout the province into entirely paperless environments as part of its continuous campaign to advance e-governance and electronic administration.
The determination was finalized during a Secretaries’ Conference presided over by the Chief Secretary of Punjab at the Civil Secretariat. The session was attended by high-ranking provincial bureaucrats, while regional commissioners and deputy commissioners participated via video connection.
The chief secretary instructed all regional-tier public departments to merge with the electronic filing network, dubbed e-Faas, to guarantee that corporate messaging is executed exclusively via computerized pathways.
He proclaimed that starting July 1, every operational field unit across Punjab will be obligated to utilize the e-Faas platform for formal communications.
The assembly additionally evaluated updates on IT structural changes and electronic management projects. Attendees lauded the execution of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for its contribution to deploying tech-based upgrades and backing the territory's electronic modernization strategy.
According to management authorities, the migration toward a digital framework is anticipated to elevate transparency, productivity, and the velocity of executive workflows while minimizing dependence on conventional physical documentation.
The summit also praised the region-wide sanitation campaign executed during Eid al-Adha, characterizing it as a triumphant organizational undertaking.
Institutional authorities stated that the current directives signify a major stride toward updating public governance in Punjab and improving the distribution of civic operations through the application of technology.
