Air Travel Changes: PIA Overhauls Schedule for Initial Lahore-Manchester Air Link
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has completed arrangements to initiate nonstop services between Lahore and Manchester and has updated the timeline for the upcoming service.
According to the flag carrier, a weekly operation linking Lahore and Manchester is scheduled to commence on July 2, 2026. Initially, PIA intended to introduce the connection with a Manchester-to-Lahore service on July 3, but the itinerary has been adjusted to feature the inaugural Lahore-to-Manchester leg on July 2 instead.
PIA has also disclosed pricing structures for the connection. The single-journey Economy Class ticket from Lahore to Manchester is priced at roughly Rs. 155,000, whereas a single-journey Economy Plus option will scale up to Rs. 270,000.
For return itineraries, Economy Class ticket prices are capped at Rs. 350,000, while Economy Plus flyers will be charged up to Rs. 525,000.
The corporation mentioned that Boeing 777 passenger jets will be utilized for this service, offering flyers an un-interrupted transit link between the two destinations.
PIA executives commented that the revival of direct air travel between Lahore and Manchester will specifically assist the expansive Pakistani diaspora residing in the United Kingdom by providing enhanced ease and superior travel links.
