Price Drop: MG Binguo EV Becomes More Affordable in Pakistan

MG Motor Pakistan has slashed the retail cost of its Binguo EV across the country in response to intensifying rivalry within the domestic electric car sector. The manufacturer disclosed the updated tariff during the official debut ceremony of the incoming MG4 EV Urban edition in Lahore.

MG Motor Pakistan originally unveiled the Binguo EV within the local commercial arena in December of last year, positioning it as a subcompact electric city car designed for daily urban travelers.

The hatchback is equipped with a 31.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack coupled with an electric motor that delivers 67 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. According to manufacturer specifications, the vehicle provides a WLTP-validated operational range of up to 273 kilometers from a lone full charge.

The Binguo EV accommodates both rapid DC charging protocols alongside conventional AC power sources. Utilizing a quick-charging DC station, the battery pack replenishes from 30 percent up to 80 percent within roughly 35 minutes, whereas standard AC power requires nearly 5.5 hours to advance from 20 percent to full capacity.

Updated Cost

In accordance with the modified retail structure publicised by the automaker, the MG Binguo EV retail rate has dropped from Rs. 59.99 lakhs down to Rs. 56.99 lakhs, indicating an official price cut of Rs. 3 lakhs.
