Notice to Consumers: IESCO Issues Power Outage Plan for Upcoming Technical Maintenance
On Monday, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced a scheduled power suspension for Tuesday across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and infrastructure development.
An IESCO representative stated that within the Islamabad Circle, power will be cut from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. affecting the Khana Dak, Burma, Waheedabad, Rehman Enclave, Khanna East, Khana-II/Qadeer Road, Al Noor Colony, Shareefabad, Ghouri Garden, Scheme-I, Gharial, I-8/4, I-8 Markaz, CCC-II, and Fazaia feeders.
For the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, electricity will be unavailable between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for areas linked to the Pakistan Air Force, Rehmatabad-I, Chaklala, Takbeer-I, Takbeer-II, Takbeer-III, and Kot Jabbi feeders.
During those same hours, the Rawalpindi City Circle will experience disruptions in Sector-IV and APHS feeder zones.
In the Attock Circle, supply will be halted from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for residents connected to the Attock Rural, Teen Mela, and Bagh Nelab feeders.
The Jhelum Circle outage, also from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., impacts the Shah Safeer, Karsal, Pind Mattay Khan, Sohawa Katchery, Main Bazar, Jand Mehlu, Karyala, Metro City, Grand City, Bolani, and Co Muhammad Akram feeders.
Similarly, in the Chakwal Circle, the Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur, and CWO feeders will face a shutdown from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The GSO Circle has a shorter window from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. affecting Gujjar Khan, Hayat Sir Road, Kanger Thathi, Islam Pura, Dora Badhal, Thakra, ECM, Gulyana, RT Mill, Mandra, Mandra-2, Qazian, LTC, Hamad Jangi, KTM-2, Bhalote, Matwa, Kulia, Ward No-8, Kountrilla, Bhai Khan, Karoli, and Scheme-1.
Additionally, the spokesperson noted that the 132-KV Chakwal-Bhagwal-Talagang and 132-KV Kahuta City-Palandri lines will be down from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Maintenance on Power Transformer T-3 at the 132-KV GSS Rawalakot will also cause an interruption from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
IESCO management expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to consumers. They mentioned that should work conclude early, electricity may be restored prior to the stated times.
