E-Bikes for Punjab Govt Employees
As per the reports, excise inspectors throughout Punjab—comprehensive of both male and female personnel—are set to be awarded electric two-wheelers in recognition of their professional performance.
During the initial phase, the administration intends to roll out 150 electric motorcycles alongside 50 electric scooters specifically designated for female officers. A budget exceeding Rs. 50 million has been earmarked for the acquisition of these units, with the procurement phase reportedly nearing its conclusion.
Authorities have indicated that the handover of these electric bikes and scooters is anticipated to commence within the coming month.
According to the outlined strategy, ownership of the vehicles will be officially transferred to the staff members following a three-year duration, granting them full title to the bikes upon the completion of this timeframe.
